Description

The farmhouses of Agriturismo Alba are lying between the hills of the Maremma Tuscany, just a few minutes by car from the seaside resort di Castiglione della Pescaia. The estate has a surface of 135 hectares that are mainly cultivated with cereals and oleaginous plants. The three farmhouses have been completely renovate, obtaining 8 apartments (for 2, 4 and 6 persons), all very spacious and with independent entrance, completely equipped kitchens, TV, heating, with garden furniture equipped outside spaces, barbecue. The farmhouse Casetta Bandinelli disposes of a swimming pool in the garden, surrounded by sun beds and sun umbrellas.

Around the houses are growing wheat and sunflowers as well as 130 olive trees. At Casa Bandinelli, guests can buy season fruit and vegetables (apricots, plums, figs, peaches, tomatoes, peppers, salad, melons etc.), growing on the land around the houses. Furthermore it is possible to purchase the farm honey (flower and wood honey). In the gardens are full with aromatic plants like rosemary, lavender, time, mint, laurel and sage. The nearest village is Braccagni with grocery, bank, pharmacy and post office.

Vetulonia of Etruscan origins is the nearest village, worth visiting from the farms, whereas the sea of Castiglione della Pescaia distances only approximately 10/15 minutes by car.
Daily trips in the area can be also made to the natural reserve Parco Naturale della Maremma, to the archaeological excavations of Roselle as well as to all those charming hilltop villages that are worth being discovered. Especially during the spring and autumn season one can make daily trips to Siena, Florence, Rome, Pisa ecc.
