Description

The charming B&B Antica Pieve is situated at Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, in the heart of the Chianti Classico region, halfway between Florence and Siena in Tuscany. 
The Bed and Breakfast is within an antique farmhouse, directly along the antique Roman road the Via Cassia, once connecting Florence and Rome. The convenient geographical position allows it to reach within short time the most interesting and beautiful places of cultural and historical interest in Tuscany: Florence (25 km) and Siena (35 km), Certaldo, San Gimignano, Volterra, the Chianti Classico with Greve, Radda, Gaiole, Castellina in Chianti and Barberino Val d'Elsa. 

The name of the B&B Antica Pieve comes from the small road that passes on the the other side of the accommodation, leading to a historic parish church. The Bed and breakfast is run with love and dedication by the Bacci family. They will accommodate you with warmth in 6 comfortable double rooms with bathroom/shower, some with the possibility to add an extra bed. 
All the rooms are equally furnished with great taste and equipped with air condition/heating, safe, hairdryer, telephone, internet connection. The lounge with bar invites to sip a cappuccino or an aperitif, to watch tv or to talk with other guests. 

At the restaurant right next to the bar, is served every morning a rich breakfast buffet (cheese, jam, ham, salami,...), the perfect base for daily trips. Those who like to have a day of relaxation, can do this in the garden with various sitting possibilities, deck chairs and swimming pool (12 x 6 m), open from May until October. 
Upon request it is possible to book dinner, organize daily trips in the Chianti region with visit at wine cellars, cooking and relaxation courses. Because of the nearness to historic towns like Florence or Siena as well as the good connection by pulic transport, the B&B Antica Pieve is a very good alternative to the hotels in these places.
