Description

The Campsite Baia dei Gabbiani is situated at Puntone di Scarlino in Southern Tuscany, approximately 4 km from the seaside-resort Follonica away.

The campsite offers on a level ground pitches for caravans, campers and tents, as well as brand-new bungalows, equipped with all mods and cons for a maximum of 5 people.
Within the campsite there are at the guest's disposal various services such as restaurant, bar, grocery's, newsagent and tobacconist's shop. During the months of July and August, there are during the day and in the evening animation acitivies for young and old.

The centre of Puntone and the yacht harbour are about 400 m from the campsite away. At the centre there are the most important shops (bar, bakery, grocery's, post-office, pharmacy, restaurants) and about 500 m away, on of the most famous and and important discotheques of the whole coast.
The Campsite Baia dei Gabbiani is situated directly on the sea of the beautiful Golf of Follonica. The long, beautiful sandy beach, with view of the opposite island of Elba, an ideal holiday location for young and old. There is enough possibility to make all kind of watersports (surfing, kite-surf, diving etc.) or to bring the own boat and to moor it in the port. 
Only a few kilometres towards South, it is possible to reach by walking, mountainbike or by boat the beautiful bays Cala Violina and Cala Martina. Here, with a still uncontaminated sea, rocks covered with Mediterranean wood, it seems to be on an island far away. 

In the evening the restaurants of the area invite to discover the delicious cuisine, which is made of pasta, fish, meat or game. 
Nearby the bathing town Follonica, the medieval Scarlino, Massa Marittima, birthplace of Holy Bernhard, Punta Ala as well as the characteristic Castiglione della Pescaia with yacht port. From Castiglione it is possible participate in excursions along the coast or to the islands of the Tuscan Arcipelago (Elba, Giglio, Giannutri, Formiche di Grosseto).
The whole area is covered with numerous Etruscan necropolis, of which the most important ones are in Populonia, Vetulonia and Roselle. The most important art towns like Siena, Florence, Pisa, San Gimignano and Volterra are between one and two hours away.
