Description
The Bed & Breakfast Villa Oliveto
is situated in a panoramic
position on a private hill outside the village
Piano di Mommio, about 6 km
from the Versilian Coast of
Viareggio, 8 km from Forte dei Marmi
as well as 30 minutes from Lucca
and Pisa.
The villa is lying on the top of a private hill, to be reached through an iron gate with code that will guarantee complete privacy and peace. Villa Oliveto, with its pleasant sunny-yellow façade, in the typical countrystyle of the Lucca area, its Mediterranean scents, is the ideal place for all those longing for complete relaxation in the midst of nature, but at the same time just a few minutes from places of cultural and artistic interest, the worldly Viareggio and the beaches of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Villa
Oliveto is composed of 4
double rooms
and one suite,
as well as of charming country
cottage called Rustico,
lying above the swimming pool and
offering space for 4 adults and a child.
Both from the rooms of the Bed & Breakfast
and from the country cottage, it
is possible to enjoy a marvellous view over the
Versilian Coast
and the Apuan
Alps. Even the swimming pool (open from
May to October) is situated in a panoramic
position, with view over the coast, in the midst
of the green garden, between olive trees,
cypresses, pine trees, chestnut trees and fruit
trees.
The
guests of the Bed & Breakfast can enjoy
in the morning a rich breakfast,
mainly prepared with local and high quality
products such as jam, cheese, ham or Silvia's
delicious cakes.
Breakfast is served in the huge terraced garden, opening onto a breathtaking panorama, with a view sweeping from Livorno to the Cinqueterre, through colours that are always different of the surrounding nature.
The Versilian
Coast stretches over more than 20 km, starting
from Torre del Lago Puccini south, until
reaching Forte dei Marmi north.
This stretch of coast is characterized by a large
sandy beach with exclusive bathing establishments.
The elegant seaside resort
Viareggio was one of the first resorts in
Europe and even today Art Nouveau villas in the
centre and along the promenade are witness of
the splendour of these times.
Thanks
to the advantageous position, on the one hand far
away from road noise and on the other hand close
to all the interesting places of the Versilian
Riviera, to the charming hilltop villages of the
hinterland such as
Pietrasanta and Camaiore (5 km), the
Carrara marble caves as well as the beautiful
places of the near Liguria like Cinque Terre
and the Golfo dei
Poeti.
During the summer months are inviting cultural
events such as the famous Puccini Festival
of Torre del Lago, the so called Cittadella season or the Lucca Summer Festival and not to forget the Carnival of Viareggio, that has been taking place each year in February for more than a century, whooping up the streets and the historic quarters of the town. Day Trips should be made to the
lovely little town of
Pistoia (approx. 65 km), Florence
90 km and Siena 160 km.
