The programme is called “Wunderschön” (engl. wonderful) and has been broadcasted for more than 10 years. Every Sunday evening, one of the three presenters will show another country or region, the places worth visiting and their specialities or particularities. This time, the presenter Tamina Kallert visited southern Tuscany and the Maremma and I, Daniela Braun (author & owner of toskana.net) showed her my second homeland.
I’ve been living in the Maremma Tuscany for nearly 20 years and visiting every single accommodation of this portal. Therefore, I had the opportunity to discover every single angle of this region. In my blog www.toskanaitalien.de (in German language) I’m writing about my love for good food and wine (besides Slowfood supporter for many years, I’m also a Sommelier), events and special insider tips.
During the broadcasting of “Wunderschön- südliche Toskana” I will accompany Tamina through my second homeland and we will not only visit the most famous places such as Siena, but mainly the less known, charming ones, such as Pitigliano built on an immense tuff stone, Saturnia and the hot springs, Sovana with the Etruscan tombs of the Via Cave and finally, the nature reserve Parco Naturale della Maremma. We will pass a day with the sustainable fisher Paolo Fanciulli on his boat and form there drive with an oldtimer cabrio through the Crete Senesi. In Pienza we are not only concentrated on the delicious Pecorino cheese and in Montepulciano we have the opportunity to combine at Palazzo Ricci (European Academy of Music and performing Arts) music and wine.
