Description

The Camping Resort PuntAla is situated within 27 hectares of shady pinewood, located directly on the sea, about 4 km from the centre of Punta Ala and 10 km from Castiglione della Pescaia, on the beautiful coast of the Maremma Tuscany.
The establishment of PuntAla Camping Resort dates back to 1970, with an initial surface of only 6 hectares. Within the years, the campsite expanded up to 27 hectares and has been equipped with the most important and modern facilities, also as far as regards energy and water saving, in order to protect the environment. 

As the environment is protected by law, much has changed:  organic farming and biological agriculture provide campers and local residents with fresh and healthy produce, animal species that had once populated this area are coming back, thus one can talk about a nature reserve...
Inside are available 500 pitches, with an average surface of approximately 90 sq.m. and 172 comfortable, well equipped  bungalows (2-6 pers.), each with outside sitting space and some even with air conditioning. Both, pitches and bungalows are pleasantly integrated in the nature and enjoy the natural shade of pine and cork trees. The greatest distance between sea and bungalows/pitches is 300 m.

Of 900 m beach, the campsite has 100 m beach equipped with beach umbrellas, sun beds and deckchairs (to be booked), 700 m free beach and 100 m sailing school and boats. Because of the fine sand beach and the sea only gets very slowly deeper, it is particularly ideal for families with children. The sea is generally calm and without currents, with a medium temperature of 18-24° C. Here should be mentioned that the coast of Castiglione della Pescaia and Punta Ala has been honoured in 2006 and 2007 with the blue flag as the best sea in Italy.

At the campsite it is possible to take part in sailing-, windsurfing and tennis courses (single courses, courses for children, beginner and advanced courses).
Inside of the campsite, a little bit more distant from the sea, there are other services such as red clay tennis courts and synthetic sports field, often meeting point of matches, tournaments and to find other playfellows. Single or group lessons with qualified federal instructors for beginners, advanced or competitive players of all ages. In order to move easier within the campiste or also to discover teh beautiful countryside of the area, it is possible to rent citybikes.

Also in this matter, the campsite has a vast range of organized mountain bike excursions as well as material that allows you to do it on your own. Those who bring their own bike will have the possibility of storage spaces, lock-up and bike repairs.
But also our small guests will find a lot of fun at the campsite's miniclub: experienced entertainers will help your children enjoy days of pure fun, organising games with them on the beach and in the playground. Besides organized children's entertainment, the campsite has a lovingly equipped playground with:

castles, pirate ships, space stations, slides, bridges, roundabouts, swings and trampolines as well as the Adventure Park, a permanent construction within the central playground, consisting of a suspended circuit with Tibetan bridge, ropes, perches, ladders, pulleys, zip lines and landings.
In order to guarantee to the guests a comfortable stay, without the need to take the car during the whole stay, there are shops and facilities for all everyday needs within the campsite such as market, shop, bar, restaurants on the sea and in the pinewood, offering also half board or full board service.
