In the heart of the Montalbano, between Florence (25 km) and Pisa (50 km) in Tuscany, is extending the farm Tenuta Cantagallo. For more than 30 years, the property has been belonging to the Pierazzuoli family. The first who has dedicated himself was the grandfather, who transferred his love for nature also to the grandchildren.  As a matter of fact, ten years ago, grandson Enrico has marked new vigour, introducing a high quality wine production, dropping the sale of loose wine.

In the last years Enrico's wife Monia and the other brothers and sisters, Enrica, Serena and Dario, flanked Enrico, increasing the farm activities with foodstuffs production (honey, preserves, sauces etc.), wine tourism with wine and food tasting and from 2002 with farm holidays. The whole family lives and works at Cantagallo, bound by the respect for the farm life. They are glad to welcome their guests in an old, recently restored farmhouse.

The farmhouse, where are accommodated the guests, is dating back to the beginning of the twenteeth century. It is situated on the top of a hill, hence the name Cantagallo (engl. cockcrow), that means the place from where the rooster sees the dawn and crows. From the yard in front of the farmhouse it is possible to enjoy a breathtaking view of the surrounding castles, the medieval villages Capraia and Montelupo - renowned from the Middle Ages on for the pottery arts - as well as over landscape with vineyards and olive groves, alternating with woodland.

The position of Tenuta Cantagallo is perfect for all those searching for relax and contact with nature as well of those guests who would like to discover places of historical and cultural interest (Vinci 13 km, Firenze 25 km, Siena e Pisa 50 km).
The farmhouse has been completely restored, respecting the original Tuscan style and building materials, obtaining 10 apartments (2-4-8 people), characterized by wooden beam ceilings, fireplaces and terracotta tiles. All are pleasantly furnished according to the traditional countryhouse style and equipped with all comforts (TV, telephone, heating).

The apartments on the ground floor are provided with a private yard in front of the entrance. In the garden of the farmhouse there are also 2 patios and a pergola, equipped with garden furniture, thus also those guests of the upper floor accommodations can enjoy outside dining. Near the pergola, there is the barbecue as well as an antique, still working stone oven, once used for bread baking. Underneath the farmhouse, the beautiful panoramic swimming pool with toilets and showers. Furthermore at the guest's disposal are tennis court, table tennis, children's playground, laundry, mountain bike storage.

There is also a parking, a small shop with farm products and a reception with brochures and information of nearby places and what to do.
