Agriturismo Cuor di Lupo is a small country inn in the heart of the Maremma Tuscany, just a few minutes from the seaside resorts of Castiglione della Pescaia, Punta Ala and Follonica away.
It is an antique farm, whose construction dates back to the year 1884. Between 1999 and 2002 it was completely rebuilt in the respect to the original architecture and the materials used in the past. Today we find there 9 charming rooms and suites, of which some with the possibility to cook that can accommodate from 2 up to 5 people.

Every room is different from the other, furnished in the typical Tuscan country style and reflrecting in the accessories and the colours the name of each room. Nearly all rooms are equipped with third bed or sofa bed and are therefore ideal for couples or small families longing for a holiday in the peace of nature between rolling Tuscan hills and seaside. Some of the rooms have in front a pergola, equipped with tables and chairs, whereas the others can make use of the several equipped angles in the garden. Underneath the two buildings, between cork-trees and Mediterranean scrub, there is the particular swimming pool made of stones and other natural elements.

As most of the rooms are equipped with cooking possibilities, during the low season it is also possible to book overnight stay with selfcatering.
During the high season only half board is offered, consisting of an abundant breakfast with many homemade and organic products in the morning and a complete menu in the evening. The menu begins with a delicous starter buffet, already more than enough to be satisfied, continueing with pasta, main course with side dish, dessert and to finish with an espresso. Agriturismo Cuor di Lupo is avery informal place, typical for the countryside, where younger and older guests can feel as if the were at home.

On the spot, it is also possible to make wine tastings and to taste typical products deriving from the Maremma soil.
This year, for the first time will be produced a wine that also was cultivated by Agriturismo Cuor di Lupo, a red wine Monteregio di Massa Marittima D.O.C., deriving from organic farming. Besides cheering up the palates of our guests, one part is also made for aging in barrique barrels.
About six hundred olive trees are scatterd over the land surrounding the farmhouse. They produce an excellent extra vergin olive oil with level of acidity near to zero and a unique fragrance.

Finally there are fruit trees, the vegetable garden made to satisfy only the farm needs producing real genuine products of which one part is used for the menu and of the other is made for example jam which is served at breakfast. The farm only has organic cultivation.
At the "Cuor di Lupo" farm you will pass a holiday "between freinds" in the midst of the beautiful nature of the Maremma with secular cork-trees, strawberry trees, myrtle, brooms, heathers and many other essences, typical for the Mediterranean scrub.

Those who love the sea, can perfectly combine the relaxation and peace of the countryside together with a holiday near the sea and drive everyday to one of the beaches around Castiglione della Pescaia (this year the second beach after Otranto with the cleanest water and beaches in Italy) or Punta Ala. Nearby there are several historic and cultural places such as the Etruscan excavations of Vetulonia and Roselle or the medieval perl of Massa Marittima.
Those who love nature, can go trekking on foot, horseback or with the mountain bike. It is also worth visiting the Uccellina Park or the Monte Argentario. The most importan Tuscan towns of art and culture like Florence, Pisa and Siena, to name just a few, can be reached within less than one and two hours by car.
