Motorway A11 Firenze Mare/Genova Livorno (Viareggio - Lucca) A 12

1. Exist Lucca Est and follow the road markings for Castelnuovo di Garfagnana.

2. Follow on the state road "Strada Statale del Brennero" (SS 12) towards Barga, until reaching the Borgo a Mozzano: drive over the bridge on your left and along the road running parallel to the river on your right, towards Barga.

3. When you reach Bolognana, cross the bridge on your right and continue to follow the directions for Barga.

4. Arrived in Barga you will find a square with at the centre an age-old cedar of Lebanon, which divides the square into four directions. Take the first road on your right (uphill, in the direction of Tiglio). 

5. After approximately 3 kms you will come to a crossroad. Continuing to follow the directions for Tiglio after 1.5 kms you will reach the top of the village where you'll find a parking (note: you are already at Tiglio Basso! Don't continue to Tiglio Alto) and at this point, turn right, follw the narrow road on your right for approximately 200 m leading you into the village. This narrow road is not suitable for caranvans!
