Description

Agriturismo Il Gheppio is situated in a marvellous hilly position with sea view to the Etruscan Coast, in the so called Maremma Pisana area in Tuscany, about 1 km from Guardistallo and about 9 km from Cecina Mare.
There are 5 antique stone farm buildings, of which the former  farmhouse, the hunting lodge and 3 cottages, with a total of 11 comfortably equipped apartments. The houses were built in a way that nearly from every angle there is a beautiful view over the surrounding countryside and the coast.

All apartments have been carefully furnished with wooden furniture, terracotta tiled floors, splendid antique wooden beamed ceilings. Everything was restructured with respect to the original structure and to local traditions. Each apartment has a private entrance, a completely equipped kitchen, heating, TV, terrace with table and chairs. Right in the centre of the buildings, in a more flat point, was realized the beautiful panoramic swimming pool (14 x 9 m) with water purified, instead of chlorine, with salt that is much more natural and also lighter; It does recall a swim in the sea.

In one part of the pool guests can get relaxed enjoying the underwater massage.
Around the pool (open from May until September), there is a great terracotta tiled sun deck with parasols and sun beds.
In the garden there are several barbecue spots, where guests can grill fresh fish from the coast or the typical Florentine beef steak, simply flavoured with salt and the tasty extravergin olive oil "Il Gheppio".
The extravergin olive oil Il Gheppio is obtained of a variety of different olives (Frantoio, Leccino, Moraiolo, Pendolino and Maurino).
The traditional Tuscan mixture together with the microclimate as well as the cultivation techniques, of which the proprietor personally takes care, produces an oil of excellent quality, with strong scents of grass and a fruity aftertaste.
