sand dunes, isolated hills, pinewoods, Mediterranean
scrub and marsh. Inside, it is possible to make guided
tours on foot or on horseback, viewing many animals
threatened by extinction. Once, the Tuscan Maremma,

whose traces can be found in several places like
Roselle, the most important Etruscan town of this
area, or Populonia with the Gulf of Baratti
(beautiful beach and water).
Populonia
was also the only Etruscan settlement on the sea and

from the Island Elba.
