Description

Il Rosolaccio is an antique Tuscan farmhouse, situated in the hills between San Gimignano and Certaldo, not far away from Florence and Siena. 

Il Rosolaccio has beautiful views over the hills, covered with olive trees and vineyards. 
It is a typical Tuscan farmhouse, which in the course of the centuries has been enlarged according to the farmer's needs.
Today, there are 6 apartments of different size and 6 double rooms with private bathroom, furnished in the typical Tuscan country style. 
Even the room guests as the apartment guests can enjoy in the morning a rich breakfast buffet, served in the cosy breakfast room or on the sunny terrace. 

For dinner guests can book a complete menu, based on meat or fish. Upon request there is the possibility to prepare a vegetarian menu.
At Rosolaccio, guests can find peace and relax within the many angles in the garden, equipped with parasols and lounge chairs or in the pool area. Those who would like to get to know Tuscany, have numerous possibilities in the vicinity. The ideal geographical position of "Il Rosolaccio" is ideal for trekking on foot or by mountain bike in the Elsa Valley. The nearest place to Rosolaccio is the medieval village Certaldo, only 5 km away, also Bocaccio's birthplace.

At only 7 km, San Gimignano, the medieval "Manhattan" renowned for the white wine (Vernaccia di San Gimignano) and for the 15 towers, once symbol for power and wealth. 
The characteristic historical centre invites with its typical restaurants to taste the local cuisine and wine. Other places worth visiting are Colle Val d'Elsa and Monteriggioni, about 20 km, whereas Volterra, Siena, Florence and the Chianti Classico area can be reached in approximately half an hour by car. Other Tuscan towns like Pisa, Lucca, the coast, Montalcino, Pienza etc. can be easily reached for day trips.
