Description

Agriturismo Il Tramonto is situated in the countryside of the  Maremma Tuscany, between wood, olive groves, sunflower fields and the sea (2.5 km) of the Gulf of Follonica in front of Elba Island. At the guest's disposal are 6 apartments, for 4 up to 6 people, equipped with all mods and cons (air conditioning, satellite TV, well fitted out kitchens) and porch with garden furniture for outside dining. In the garden, a huge swimming pool (16 x 6 m) and another, smaller one for the children (4x4 m), surrounded by sun deck with parasols and sun beds (for each apartment 1 parasol, 1 sun bed, 1 deck chair).

The position of the farm makes it possible to pass a farm holiday in the countryside, combined with a holiday on the seaside: about 300 m from the farm starts the wood, with an archery course winding throught the wood and the possibility to go jogging, trecking or with the mountain bike (available on the spot). Those who love to make discoveries, can visit the ruins of the medieval convent. Just a few kilometres away a riding school offering also excursions with the horses in the beautiful countryside. 

Considering the closeness to the yacht harbour of Puntone di Scarlino (2,5 km), those who have an own boat (max length 6-7 m, except sailing boat), can bring their own boat with them and leave it 1 km away, in the small channel, following from Puntone towards Scarlino (only on request and according availability). From Puntone it is also possible to reach on foot or by bike, along the coast the beautiful natural caves like Cala Violina (sand beach that takes its name from the sound that is produced walking on the sand), Cala Martina from where in 1849, Garibaldi left, in order to escape from the Austrian troups as well to reach all those small caves, only reachable throug the wood.

In the seaside resort Follonica (ca. 7 km) are supermarcets, boutiques, restaurants and shops of any type. Furthermore, there are lots of possibilities for any kind of sports like tennis, diving courses and excursions, sailing, surfing, kitesurf ecc. Those who love playing golf have the choice between the golf courses of "Pelagone" near Gavorrano (ca. 12 km) or Punta Ala (ca. 17 km) with important yacht harbour. Furthermore are inviting charming places like Castiglione della Pescaia (ca. 17 km) with picturesque fortress facing the sea and the harbour as well as the 20 km distant Pearl of the Middle Ages Massa Marittima.

Those interested in the Etruscan civilization can visit Vetulonia (ca. 30 km) or Populonia, where it is possible to combine history with the beautiful beach of the Gulf of Baratti, underneath Populonia (ca. 35 km). Other daily excursions can be made for example to the Abbey of San Galgano (ca. 50 km), Argentario (ca. 60 km) with Porto Ercole and Porto S. Stefano, Tuscan Archipelago Toscano (Elba, Giglio), Siena (90 km), Pitigliano (ca. 90 km), Saturnia (ca. 100 km) e Florence (ca. 140 km), to name just a few.
