Description

La Ca' Solare is a small farm situated in a peaceful position in the Tuscany countryside between  Pontedera and Volterra.
The 4 holiday apartsments are for 2 to 6 people; two of the apartments are inside of the farmhouse where also the owners live, whereas the others are composing two charming cottages.
The apartments are equipped with every comfort and tastefully furnished with antiques. They are very cosy and will guarantee to the guests a very pleasant stay in Tuscany.

Every apartment or cottage also has its own outside space equipped with garden furniture. In the garden there is a pool (6 x 12 m) with sun terrace, offering an enchanting view over the countryside and Volterra.
At the farm guests can purchase wine and other typical products; you'll get a list with all the available products on the arrival.
Montefoscoli, the small village, the farmhouse belongs to is about 1 km away. It is part of the municipality of Palaia that already during the Middle Ages had great importance because of the strategic position between Volterra, Pisa, Lucca and Florence.

This area is also renowned for the extraordinary landscape made of rolling hills with olive groves, vineyards and cypresses, interrupted by the "balze" that in the course of the centuries were produced by collapsing of the clayey ground.
In the whole area it is possible to make trekking within the nature by foot, bike or on horseback. Nearby it is also worth visiting the medieval villages that even today have not lost their past character, such as Toiano or Villasaletta as well as the castles of Forcoli and Montefoscoli.

Only 3 km from the farm there is Peccioli, where you can find shops of any kind, banks and a pharmacy. A Riding Club, where it is possible to take riding lessons or to make excursions on horseback in the beautiful countryside is just 5 km from the farm away. At Castelfalfi (10 km) there is a well-kept 18 whole golf course, opened the whole year round. Those who are interested in art and culture will reach within one hour the most important and most beautiful towns in Tuscany like Volterra (25 km), San Gimignano (30 km), Pisa (34 km), Lucca (36 km), Firenze (62 km) and Siena (68 km). The Tyrrhenian Coast is just 30 km away.
