From Pisa (ca. 1-1,5 h)

1. Take the motorway A12 towards Roma-Grosseto and exit at Rosignano. Enter then on the highway Superstrada SS1 (Via Aurelia) towards Grosseto.

2. Exit at Massa Marittima and from there, go towards Puntone di Scarlino, CASTIGLIONE DELLA PESCAIA and PUNTA ALA.

3. When your reach the crossing of Puntone di Scarlino (in front of you a restaurant with parking, butcher, tourist info etc.) continue towards Castiglione della Pescaia/ Punta Ala. In the middle of the hill you will find, on the right, a small street with two pine trees. There you turn right, even if there is a sign saying that it is a private road and follow the road until you come to the rose house on the top of the hill. 

From Rom (ca. 1,5 - 2 h)

1. Motorway towards Civitavecchia. 

2. The Motorway finishes at Civitavecchia. From there take the Superstrada SS1 towards Grosseto/Livorno. 

3. About 20 minutes after the exit of Grosseto Nord you should exit at BAGNO DI GAVORRANO and from there towards Follonica and Scarlino.

4. After about 2 km you will reach a crossing, where you should turn left, driving always towards Punta Ala/Castiglione della Pescaia. 

5. When you reach the junction at Puntone di Scarlino turn left, again towards Punta Ala/Castiglione della Pescaia. You drive up a hill and in the middle of the hill, you will see on the right-hand side a small street with two pine trees. There you turn right, even if there is a sign saying that it is a private road and follow the road until you come to the rose house on the top of the hill.
