Description

The Peretti Farm is situated in the Province of Grosseto, in the Maremma in Southern Tuscany, only 5 minutes from Fonteblanda and the Argentario Coast away.

The farm takes its name from the primary owner Bartolomeo Peretti (deceased in 1544). He became, because of his heroic manoeuvres against the pirate 'Barbarossa', Admiral of the Pontifical State.
The Peretti farm is situated in a peaceful environment that is also easily reachable. For three generations, more precisely from 1922 on, the farm has been belonging to the Agostini family. Today, the farm is managed with dedication by Andrea and his wife Silvia.

The farmland is formed of 36 ha, of which 1 ha wood, 1 ha olive groves, 15 ha hard wheat, 8 ha sunflowers, 5 ha grazing land and 5 ha of vegetables.
The farm also has a horse breeding of the Maremma horse breed, which is very strong and meek. Part of the farm is also the children-friendly dog and the clever goat.
It is possible to choose between two 2-room apartments, two 3-room apartments and 5 rooms, of which one is suitable for disabled people. Every apartment and room has its own outside space with table and chairs.

During the summer, breakfast, with many farm or homemade products, is served in the garden in the pleasant shadow of the pine trees.
Children can liberally play in the garden, whereas the parents can get relaxed in the shadow of the pine trees or in the heat of the sun, enjoying a marvellous view over the Maremma countryside.
Agriturismo Peretti is also ideal for those who would like to pass a summer holiday on the sea. The long beach of the Argentario Coast is only 5 minutes by car away.

Other places worth visiting are the Nature Park "Parco Naturale della Maremma" (15 min.) extending over a surface of 10,000 sq.m., starting from Principina a Mare until reaching Talamone. It is possible to make guided walks or riding excursions, during which one can see wild animals, most of them threatened by extinction. One of the most beautiful WWW-Oasis in Italy can be found at Orbetello (15 min.) with more than 150 species of water fowls, such as the pink flamingo. Driving over the dunes connecting Orbetello with the Monte Argentario, it is possible to visit the characteristic holiday resorts of Porto S. Stefano and Porto Ercole.

In the course of time both resorts could maintain the charm of the "dolce vita" and the character of an old fishing village. They are also the destination of many Italian and international VIPs, whose luxurious yachts are mooring in the harbours.
Driving towards the inland, on meets Saturnia (40 min.) and the hot springs, as well as numberless medieval villages (Pitigliano, Sovana, Sorano) and archaeological excavations of the Etruscan and Roman times. Siena is 90 km, Florence 170 km, Pisa 180 km and Rome 160 km away.
