The accommodation is perfectly situated for daily trips to the most important Tuscan towns of art and culture: San Gimignano 2 km, Volterra 28 km, Siena 35 km, Florence 45 km, Pisa 60 km. 
In the immediate surroundings of Podere Casanuova it is possible to make trekking or to discover with the mountain bike or on horseback the countryside of the Elsa valley. Only 2 km away it is possible to play tennis, whereas 20 km away there is a 18 hole golf course and at a distance of about 10 km there is a 9 hole golf course. In the area of the renowned white wine Vernaccia di San Gimignano or the red Chianti wine, one can make wine tastings at the numerous local wineries. Also the Chianti Classico region can be reached within 30 minutes.

Those who adore the peacefulness of a still uncontaminated countryside will find at Podere Casanuova a serene atmosphere, where it is possible to find complete relaxation. The antique farmhouse, completely built in stone, dates back to the 18th century and was already cited in the cadastral maps of the grand duchy in Tuscany. In 2002 was finished a meticulous restoration, maintaining the original Tuscan country style, without renunciation of comfort. At the guest's disposal there are 5 charming holiday apartments of different type. Every apartment is of a different colour, according to the apartment's name, and furnished with antique Tuscan furniture. 

The holiday apartments on the ground floor have their own terrace right in front of the apartment, whereas the apartments on the first floor have a table with chairs for outside dining in front of the house. In the garden there is a barbecue and pizza oven. 
The swimming pool right below the farmhouse is surrounded by a sundeck, paved with natural stones in order to create a perfect symbiosis with the place. An elegant garden furnishing with sun beds, deckchairs and sunshade parasols make the pool area complete, from where the guests can enjoy an enchanting view over the landscape and the medieval towers of San Gimignano.
