Description

Residence Podere San Giuseppe  is situated in the Maremma area south from Livorno, not farm from the sea of the Etruscan Coast and from San Vincenzo (1.5 Km).
The holiday accommodation is placed along the old Via Aurelia, between the hills on the one side and the sea on the other. The residence is composed of an antique farmhouse and two more recent buildings. The old farmhouse first property of one of the most famous noble families in Tuscany, the Gherardesca counts. Today, within the three buildings are 19 holiday apartments if different type that can accommodate between 2 up to 7 people.

The farmhouse apartments can be situated on the ground or on the upper floor, whereas those of the two newer buildings are all situated on the ground floor. Every apartment of the ground floor has its own veranda in front of the entrance equipped with garden furniture for outside eating. The characteristic flats are well finished, with colour TV and some satellite channels, air conditioning as well heating with heat pumps or boiler.
The residence, surrounded by olive groves and a huge garden with several equipped angles, furnished barbecue space, children's playground and huge swimming pool. Part of the pool are also sun beds and sunshade parasols as well as a whirlpool.

For every apartment there is one parking lot in the underground parking, where the cars also during hot summer days remain cool and protected from the sun. 
The residence offers also a gym as well as a laundry with washing machine, clothes-horse and iron.
For those, who love the sea, there is the possibility to book in advance beach umbrella and sun beds at a bathing establishment, with which the property has an arrangement.  
At San Vincenzo there are shops of any kind, supermarkets, banks, post office, pharmacies, restaurants and pizzerias. Centuries ago, this area was Etruscan settlement, followed by the Romans, whose traces can be found in the whole area.

San Vincenzo has a beautiful sand beach with crystal clear sea water. Behind the beach, the thick and shady pine grove, where it is possible to make walks or to do jogging.
Southwards from San Vincenzo begin the "Val di Cornia" Natural Parks: on the coast the Parco Costiero di Rimigliano with an extraordinary variety of Mediterranean vegetation and towards the hinterland, as part of the municipality of Sassetta, the Parco Forestale di Poggio Neri where it is still possible to enjoy the still uncontaminated forests with chestnut trees, holm-oaks and oaks as well as animals like roe deers and wild boars.

Following along the coastal road, one reaches the antique village of Populonia, set on a rock, dominating the Gulf of Baratti.
Nearby it is worth visiting the charming medieval villages like Campiglia Marittima (3 Km), Suvereto (8 Km), Castagneto Carducci (12 Km), Bolgheri (17 km) or Sassetta (20 km). In about 20 minutes by car it is possible to reach the port of Piombino, from where do set out the ferryboats to Elba and other islands. Pisa can be reached in approximately 45 minutes by car, Volterra in about 1 hour, Florence and Siena in about 1.5 hours.
