Description

Agriturismo Rimaggiori is an antique Tuscan farmhouse, situated outside Barberino di Mugello near Florence. Placed on a slope of a hill with an enchanting panoramic view, on one side over the valley of the Bilancino Lake, on the other side over the countryside with woods in the background. 
The house is the result of an accurate and recent restoration that has maintained unchanged the fascination of an antique farmhouse that however, is equipped at the same time with all mods and cons as well the funcitionalities of a modern accommodation.

In the upper part of the building, thanks to the position in the hill, is also ground floor. There are 5 charming appartament-lofts available, all tastefully furnished and with huge windows that offer beautiful sights.
Underneath the apartments, the restaurant that, during the winter months is heated by a huge fireplace, with typical dishes of the area around the Mugello and Prato, that are prepared by the owners. Here, pasta, cakes and the famous cantuccini are still homemade. Everything will be accompanied by a very good selection of Tuscan wines.

During the summer, guests can taste the specialities or small snacks on the terrace, enjoying a regenerating panoramic view. 
A few steps from the restaurant with terrace in front, the beautiful swimming pool, naturally also with panoramic view over the valley of the Bilancino lake. Around the pool, a pleasant solarium made of teak, equipped during the summer time with sun beds and parasols. The whole context might be the ideal scenery for you next family or small business event.
Agriturismo Rimaggiori is an organic farm that produces different types of honey, such as in the spring time acacia honey, in the summer time flower honey and in autumn chestnut honey. A very particular honey that is not always available is the "ciliegiolo" (cherry honey) with the parfume of fresh cherries and a very soft, sweet taste. All products can be purchased on the spots and are also used in the delicious recipes of "Rimaggiori".

The Mugello is worldwide known for the motor racing circuit, but in respect to other areas in Tuscany, this area and its beauty is not well known. It is a very particular land with lots of green hills also during the hot summer months and rich of traditions. Already the Medici family appreciated this area and let built imposing castles and villas. It is possibile to visit small characteristic villages such Scarperia, famous for the centuries old tradition for knife manufacturing, or Vicchio, where Giotto and Beato Angelico were born. Those who love nature and sports can follow on the trekking routes through the whole area or can make all kinds of water sports in the Bilancino lake underneath the farm in the valley.

Those who love arts can reach Florence (20 km) within short time. It is possibile to organize guided visits at Florentine artisan shops or make organized tours with "personal shopper" to the outlets in Tuscany.
