Description

The country villa Tenuta Albereta is situated approximately 20 km and 1.8 km from the small town of Montecarlo away, surrounded by a lush green countryside of olive groves, vineyards, wood and a beautiful garden with pool. It is a typical farmhouse of the area around Lucca, with 5 bedrooms and a small annex building, offering space for 10 to 14 people. In front of the house, a nice covered veranda and barbecue. Directly from the house it is possible to do jogging or long walks and nearby it is possible to play golf, tennis, to do horse riding or fishing.

Confirmed Super-Tuscans or connoisseurs of the delicious Tuscan cuisine can drive over wine routes of the Province of Lucca. The so called Strada del Vino delle Colline Luccchesi e di Montecarlo, produces the DOC wine Colline Lucchesi e di Montecarlo. This wine route winds from Lucca through the picturesque hilly landscape until reaching Montecarlo. In this area is produced the excellent, intensive green olive oil. The mild climate as well as the montains protecting the hills from strong north-winds favour a very good quality for wine and olive oil.
It is worth visiting the near Montecarlo, whose origins are in the 14th century, when the inhabitants of a place nearby were searching for shelter within the fortress Rocca di Cerruglio.

Later, Prince Charles of Bohemia let built the town of Montecarlo around this fortress. The name Montecarlo goes back to Charles of Bohemia, the later Charles V. Another interesting place is Collodi with its  characteristical historic centre and the impressive Villa Garzoni. 
Collodi is famous all over the world for the writer Carlo Collodi, inventor of Pinocchio. To the honour of Carlo Collodi, the mayor announced in 1951 a  competition for artists with the theme of Pinocchio. The result is the Parco di Pinocchio (engl. The Pinocchio Park), a beautiful park with interesting sculptures of any type. Not to forget also the capital of the Province, the fascinating town of Lucca, with its numerous grand palazzos and the particular 15th century city walls, encircling the centre. 

Important cities like Florence (50 km) and Pisa (38 km), Pistoia, Prato, the Garfagnana or the coast of the Versilia are reachable in approximately half an hour. 
Siena is about 130 km away and possible to reach within one hour and a half by car.
