Description

Tenuta La Campana is situated in an uncontaminated oasis near Asciano, in the centre of the Crete Senesi within the Province of Siena in Tuscany. The farm has a fenced surface of more than thousand hectares.
The hamlet "La Campana" has medieval origins, but starts to get its actual shape from the 18th century on, when the Siennese banker's family Tolomei built the main villa with chapel in front and enlarged also the hamlet itself. All the farm buildings were recently restaured and today it is possible to pass in the 9 charming holiday apartments with pool as well as in the main villa with own pool a relaxing holiday.

The apartments are disposed in three different buildings, all with independent entrance and outside space or private and covered terrace that are completely equipped with garden furniture.
The main villa is surrounded by a huge, exclusive park, with garden pavillon and swimming pool. The interior is mainly furnished with furniture of the end 19th beginning 20th century.
The kitchens of all accommodations (villa and holiday apartments) are equipped with stove, oven, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. For the apartments guests there is a car park available with 10 covered spots and several spots that are uncovered.

The villa guests can park their car within the exclusive park.
Both the swimming pool belonging to the holiday apartments as well as the one beloning exclusively to the villa, are open from May until September and are equipped with sunshade parasols, tables, chairs and sun beds.
In the park belonging to the farm holidays, there is a nice barbecue area with tables and chairs, where it is possible to pass nice dinners, a playground with swing, slide, boccia camp ecc. Next to this area is the tennis court.

Agriculture is the main acitivity of the farm that is carried out in complete respect to the environment.
The cultivation of hard wheat, used for the pasta production is the most important one, followed by the cultivation of grain for zootechnic food, the fields for fodder production and for the pasture of the breeded and a small olive grove that produces a good quality olive oil. Another part of the farm is the cow and sheep breeding for the milk and meet production. Walking on the vast farmland, guests will often meet these animals.

The harmonic alternating of the fields, pastures and woods and some ponds - where upon request it is possible to go fishing - truffle grounds, some farm buildings are testimonial of a prosperous past. Walking in peace on the farmland, one can easily meet hawks, herons, some roe deers, hares and many pheasants.
Even if the farm lies quite isolated, it is possible to easily reach all those beautiful places, rich of art and culture in Tuscany such as Siena (30 min.), Pienza (1 h), Montalcino (45 min.) and Florence (1 h), the Chianti Area (45 min.) and many other places.
