Villa
The
beautiful main villa of austere Tuscan architectonic
structure with basement in a mitre form has a surface
of approximately 600 m2, subdivided over
two floors. The villa has a private entrance to the
exclusive, well-cared park where is also situated
the swimming pool, a pavillon, table, chairs, sunbeds
and sunshade parasols.
In the small chapel facing the villa, every sunday
at 11.15 a.m. is officiated the mass by the
Friars of the Monte Oliveto Maggiore Abbey (about 20
min away). The abbey was founded in 1313 a.C. and is
the mother of the Olivetan Benedictine Order: even
today the Abbot, responsible for the whole order
resides in this abbey. Important renaissance
masterpieces like the frescoes by Luca Signorelli and
by Sodoma
(beginning 16th century).
On
the ground floor of the villa, a huge living area
with several halls and the kitchen, gives nearly always
access to the park. On the first floor are located
the bedrooms, giving space up to 11 sleeps. All rooms
are in the same style, differing only in the
colour of tapestry.
