Description
Villa Apparita
is situated in Tuscany in the
beautiful nature of the nature reserve
Parco Naturale della Maremma, about 4 km from
Talamone and about 500 m from the sea.
The cottage was once used as hunting lodge during the
hunting season inside of the park. It has been
completely and tastefully restored offering now space
for 4 up to 6 people. The Parco
Naturale della Maremma is situated in the
southern part of the Maremma Tuscany, that is
extending from
Principina a Mare north, along the coast, until
reaching after approximately 20 km towards south Talamone.
The
constitution of the park to protect this unique flora
and fauna of more than 100 sq.km., is dating back
to the year 1975. The park is covered mainly by a
dense macchia wood, marked off from the sea by sand
beaches or rocky bays. The nature changes from the
Ombrone delta, over the "Trappola"-marsh,
the dunes, the pine woods, the beach over the Uccellina
mounts. The park is crossed by several routes that
can be discovered with organized tours (starting from
Talamone or Alberese) on foot, by bike or on horseback.
During a tour it is possible to meet wild and often
even dying species such as the wild boar, the porcupine,
the tortoise, the hawk, the ring dove, stock ducks,
foxes, roe deers and follow deers, to name just a
few.
Villa Apparita
is situated along the "Cannelle" route that can be
reached from Talamone and goes until the 15th century
watch tower of the same name (about 500 m from
Apparita). Underneath the tower, the beautiful rocky
beach, also at the guest's disposal. From the 15th
century on were built several watch towers along the
coast, in order to protect the coastal lane from
pirate attacks.
From the picturesque seaside location Talamone, less
than 4 km from Villa Apparita, one can enjoy an
enchanting panorama of the Argentario peninsula with
the island of Giglio in front and in the background of
the prot the rolling soft Maremma hills.
Talamone
boasts a very antique history: already the Etruscans
were using the port, giving him the name Tlamu.
After the fall of the Etruscan federation, the romans
called the port after their heroe Telamon and
from there it changed later in "Talamone".
Today, the port has changed into a small yacht harbour.
Those who besides peace and uncontaminated nature
would like to discover the area, can visit the
beautiful coast and other places in the area. The
Argentario peninsula (with Porto Ercole and Porto
Santo Stefano with ferry to Giglio Island), Magliano
in Toscana, Grosseto and Ansedonia can be reached in
about half an hour by car. Siena and Saturnia can be
reached in approximately 1 hour, whereas Rome,
Florence and Pisa can be reached in about one hour and
a half.
