Description
Villa
Belvedere, an antique farmhouse, is situated in a beautiful hilly position,
only 10 km outside the center of Florence.
Just a few kilometers northwards from the villa starts the Mugello area, well-known for the
motordrome, even if it has much more to offer.
Part of the Mugello is already the
Parco Demidoff, only a few kilometers from Villa Belvedere away. In the 16th century, the famous architect Bernardo Buontalenti built the Medici-Villa Demidoff, of which unfortunately is only left over the beautiful Park.
In the heart of the Mugello there are further
Medici-villas as well as romantic castles
(Castello del Trebbio). Places like Scarperia,
known for the cutler tradition and Rùfina,
known for the DOC-Chianti wine Rùfina are worth seeing.
From the panorama terrace one can admire the beautiful
hilly lanscape surrounding Florence covered
with villas.
Its
tranquil almost isolated position
as well as the vicinity to the Tuscan capital, permit
a restful stay for all those that would like
to enjoy the nature and culture in
Tuscany.
Inside this characteristical Tuscan country villa
that goes back to the end of the 18th century,
there are five spacious apartments,
furnished with the typical Tuscan country style.
The villa is surrounded by a well-kept garden,
in which is nestling the swimming pool (6
x 10 m). Here one can relax on the sun
terrace of the pool or with an exciting book under
in the shadow of the trees. Part of the villa is also
the farm (Tenuta di Belvedere) that
produces wine and olive oil.
Only 8 km away there is the possibility to play
tennis at Villa Le Rondini.
