Description

Villa Ducci is situated in a panoramic position with view over the towers, about 2 km from San Gimignano in Tuscany.

The origins of the villa have been lost in the course of the centuries. Sure is that in the 13th century documents of the municipality of San Gimignano mentioned a watch-tower at San Biagio. During the following centuries a residential complex was formed around the watch-tower. The villa's name comes from the Ducci family who, in the beginning of the 19th century, enlarged and transformed the tower into a villa. Only in the course of the year 2003, the villa was changed into an elegant holiday complex with rooms and holiday apartments all equipped with air condition, independent heating and satellite TV. 

Both, rooms and apartments, were tastefully furnished, combining antique traditions with modern lightness, to make the guests feel well. 
From many rooms and apartments one enjoys a beautiful view over the towers of San Gimignano.
In the rooms is included breakfast, but also the apartment guests can have breakfast with advance reservation. 
Within the villa there are several sitting rooms for reading or the bar to have a cappuccino or other cold drinks. Furthermore, upon request it is possible to book a typical Tuscan dinner. 

Underneath the villa there is a large swimming pool, surrounded by a solarium with deckchairs, sunshades and a shower, from where it is also possible to view San Gimignano lying in front.
Here it is possible to enjoy moments of relax on the border of the swimming pool, to reach quickly San Gimignano for walks or to taste the typical specialities of the sport. Furthermore, on can easily reach the near Tuscan towns of historic and artistic interest. Within about half an hour one reaches Florence, Siena, the Chianti Classico area with Greve, Gaiole and Radda in Chianti, Pisa and Volterra.
