Description

Villa Maria in Fronzano is situated about 400 m above sea level in a beautiful hilly position near Reggello about 28 km south east from Florence in Tuscany.
The villa, built as country house in the beginning of the 19th century is surrounded by woods and olive groves, right above the small village S. Donato in Fronzano. From the windows, the terraces as well as from the pool, there is a marvellous view over the Valley of the river Arno until reaching the Chianti hills.
Villa Maria in Fronzano is a single villa with 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, spacious Tuscan kitchen with fireplace and several lounges.

Directly in front of the villa, a well-kept panorama terrace for outside eating, equipped with elegant furniture. Over the glass table there is an extendable covering to protect during hot days from the sun. From here, one can enjoy a really enchanting view over the swimming pool area with the green and hilly countryside behind.
The swimming pool, lying undereath the terrace, also in a panoramic position, is surrounded by a sundeck with deck chairs and parasols. Near the pool the antique "limonaia", the lemon-house, where today are situated a bathroom with shower, a changing room as well as a small outside lounge with wooden furniture.

On the back of the villa, the private tennis court, where, because of its shady position, it is also possible to play tennis during hot summer days. Upon request it is possible to book a cook or a maid, as well as participate in a cooking courses on the spot.
At the guest's disposal, there are 3 mountain bikes with which one can discover the beautiful area around Villa Maria. Furthermore, it is possible to purchase directly on the spot wine and olive oil. The next village to Villa Maria is San Donato in Fronzano (with grocery's), reachable in only 5 minutes on foot. Within only 10 minutes walking distance one can go riding. In 10 minutes by car one reaches the next town, Reggello, where are shops of any type.

Within about 15 minutes it is possible to reach the famous abbey "Abbazia di Vallombrosa" and the National Park of the same name. Florence and the Chianti hills can be reached within 30 minutes by car, whereas Arezzo about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Siena, in 1 hour 45 and Lucca as well as Pisa can be reached in 1 hour and a half.
For those who prefer to visit Florence, Arezzo, Pisa and other towns of historic interest in Tuscany, it is possible to use the train. The next train station is at S. Ellero, to be reached in 10 minutes by car or with the public bus from S. Donato in Fronzano (bus stop is 300 m from the villa away).
