Description

Hotel Villa Rioddi is situated in a nice hilly position below Volterra in Tuscany.
On one side it is possible to enjoy a panoramic view of the beautiful countryside over the Cecina Valley, whereas on the other side rises  majestically in a hilltop position, the town of Volterra.
The small, family run 3-star hotel was once a antique stage coach station dating back to the 15th century.
Even today are still visible several architectonic characteristics of these times.

The original structure of the stone building has been completely preserved. On the ground floor, with the beautiful terracotta stone vaulted ceilings, were the stables, where once horses, after a long journey, had a rest.
Today, in one part of the former stables are located the bar and breakfast room that offers on one side a view over Volterra, as well as some of the rooms. Also in the Middle Ages were located on the two floors upstairs the accommodations. Today there are located most of the rooms.

The hotel disposes in total of 13 rooms with private bathroom and 1 apartment. All the rooms as well as the apartment are furnished in the typical Tuscan country style, with chestnut furniture and terracotta floors. Each accommodation is equipped with colour TV SAT, telephone, hairdryer, safe and air conditiong.
From the breakfast room it is possible to access the nice terrace with table and chairs viewing over the swimming pool and the countryside below. Around the pool, a terrace and garden, equipped with parasols and sun beds.
From Volterra one can easily reach San Gimignano (29 km), the seaside of the Etruscan Riviera (40 km), Siena (50 km), Pisa (64 km), Florence (72 km) or Lucca (80 km).
