1. By Car:  

• From the motorway A11 arriving from FIRENZE or GENOVA - PISA NORD:
  Exit PRATO EST and follow the signs towards VAIANO and VERNIO (not Pistoia). At the MUSEO D'ARTE CONTEMPORANEA turn right and proceed north for about 2 km towards the hills (3 circles). 
  Pass under the railway underpass and circle left at the roundabout. Proceed west for about 1,5 km on the tree sided road (passing 3 traffic lights) until until road widens at multiple crossing with NEWSPAPER SHOP "GIORNALIAO" and a GELATERIA (ice-ceam parlour). 
  Pass in front of the iron gate of a villa (N°1) and turn right into the VIA DEL PALCO. Always keep on this winding road (at obelisc go right) until the steep short hill to Villa S. Leonardo del Palco. Then pass TRATTORIA LA FONTANA and proceed another 1.5 km on Via di Canneto (same road, same level) until the green iron gate with bells for VILLA RUCELLAI DI CANNETO.
   

• From the motorway A1 from ROMA or from the motorway MILANO - BOLOGNA:
  Exit CALENZANO-SESTO, turn right in direction west (signs for CALENZANO-PRATO) and proceed straight ahead, always remaining on the same main road, with hills on your right and railroad on your left, and many cross roads with traffic lights (never turn left for PRATO nor right for CALENZANO). After about 5 Km on the same road, at roundabout, go straight on (not under tunnel) and proceed for 1,5 Km on the same tree sided road (3 traffic lights) until road widens at multiple crossing with NEWSPAPER SHOP (it. giornalaio) on right and then GELATERIA (ice-ceam parlour). Turn right 45 degrees in front of iron gate (n°1) and enter VIA DEL PALCO. Keep on this winding road (at obelisc go right), ascend steep short hill to Villa San Leonardo al Palco, then pass TRATTORIA LA FONTANA and proceed another 1,5 Km on Via Canneto until the green iron gate with bells for VILLA RUCELLAI DI CANNETO.
  

2. By Train:  

About 5 km (10 minutes by taxi) from the railway station PRATO CENTRALE on the railway tracks Milano - Firenze - Roma and Firenze - Pistoia - Montecatini - Lucca - Viareggio.

3. By Plane: 

15 km (20 minutes by taxi) from the Florence Airport "Amerigo Vespucci" (FIRENZE PERETOLA).
